Rosemary has gifted a better future for people diagnosed with cancer

Like so many of us, Rosemary is no stranger to the effects of cancer. In 2002, Rosemary’s husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer. After two and a half years of caring for him at home, he passed away – leaving behind Rosemary, their three children, and eight grandchildren.
Shortly after her husband’s passing, Rosemary was confronted with her own cancer battle. Despite an absence of symptoms, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She was in shock.
“It was a frightening time, without my husband by my side. One of my daughters is a nurse. She was my rock,” she says.
Peter Mac was there for me. They did everything right for me to live a fulfilling life, during my journey. I feel blessed to be on a Peter Mac clinical trial and doing well.
Now, Rosemary is focused on the future. She’s left a gift in her Will, with the hope that one of the outcomes will help generations of women to come.
“I hope my gift helps create a test that could screen women earlier for ovarian cancer.”
