Unite to Fight Cancer raises $1.5m in 2019 for cancer research

On Sunday 27 October 2019, over 2,000 amazing people took to the streets and parks of Melbourne, uniting to fight cancer and together we raised an outstanding $1.5m!
It was an inspirational day with cancer survivors, their families, staff from Peter Mac and others with a passion for cancer research, running, riding and walking side-by-side to raise vital funds for cancer research. From the powerful and beautiful presentations before kick off, to the high fives given on course and the post event celebrations at the event village, the sense of connection and common purpose was uplifting for all.
The funds raised through Unite to Fight Cancer are vital in helping the dedicated teams of researchers at Peter Mac continue to make new discoveries. It helps give some of the brightest minds in cancer research access to the specialised resources they need to discover cancer cures.
Thank you to all those in the community who ran, rode, walked, cheered, volunteered and donated - we think you are all brilliant!
