 Unite to fight cancer 2020

On Saturday 24 October, more than 3,200 inspiring people completed Unite to Fight Cancer and together with 25,000 generous donors raised a magnificent $1.7 million for cancer research.

While we couldn’t have a physical event this year, we still found a way to UNITE and cover more than 310,000kms over 10 days - an impressive feat!

People from across the country joined the fight against cancer and challenged themselves to ride 200kms or walk 60kms. The familiar and inspirational purple stripes of UNITE lit up social media during the event as we connected online in a new way of motivating and supporting one another to keep going. Our community shared their inspiring stories and helpful tips for tackling the challenge. Funds raised through Unite to Fight Cancer play a vital role in advancing cancer research at Peter Mac.

The funds help give some of the brightest minds in cancer research access to the specialised technologies and resources they need to discover cancer cures.

Thank you to everyone who rode, walked, donated or spread the word – we are amazed by your support and so grateful for your generosity during a challenging year.

Your support will make a real difference to the fight against cancer. For more information on Unite to Fight Cancer visit: unitetofightcancer.org.au
